Their past public engagement projects includes science cafes, science theatres and digital storytelling projects centred around health themes affecting Vietnam.

In the field of medical research, it is the world’s second largest private funder after Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The Center of Science and Technology Development – Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City
The Center of Science and Technology Development is a sub department of the HCMC Communist Youth Union. Their agenda is to create and support programs that encourage and promote scientific and technical creativity of Ho Chi Minh City’s youth population. They organize awards, fund research, provide training workshops and host various events such as science fairs. They have extensive reach into the HCMC youth group including connections with all the major universities, primary and secondary schools.
